16.40-17.10 Grade Two Tap (Ages 11-12)
These classes combine the two very classic theatrical genres of Tap dancing & Modern dancing.
Tap dancing is excellent for control and co-ordination as well as increasing skills in musicality.
Modern dance is the sort of performance you see within stage shows and musicals at the theatre and on TV and also includes aspect of jazz dance.
The classes are split in half – Tap to start and Modern to end!
Tap and Modern dance date back to the early 1900’s and are very established genres.
We have a big box of second hand tap shoes for our trials students so they can get the full experience of making music with their feet!
NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus is taught within all of our lessons. Students are able to take their exams and progress up through their grades.
Students are also able to perform in our yearly summer show and those exceptionally hard worker are able to join our festival team and take part in competitions
