Pickup Dance Southampton was founded with a simple vision – to create a positive, inspiring and professional environment where everyone can discover their love of dance and reach their full potential.
We started with a passion for dance and a dream to create a welcoming space for our local community.
From our first classes to where we are today, we’ve grown thanks to our amazing students, families and dedicated team.
We offer a wide range of styles taught by qualified, caring teachers who inspire and encourage every student to shine.
PDS is more than a dance school – it’s a place where friendships are made, confidence grows and every dancer belongs.
We’re excited for the future and can’t wait to see our students continue to achieve their goals, both on and off the stage.

One ballet class a week quickly turned into two.
Four classes a week and started teaching contemporary.
Six classes a week and ran our first ever summer show.
10 classes a week and started teaching gymnastics.
12 classes a week and started doing community performances.
13 classes a week and moved to a bigger venue to have our own space.
13 classes a week but closed during COVID.
16 classes a week and first time completing exams.
18 classes a week and students started taking part in dance festivals.
21 classes a week and started running my own dance festival.
24 classes a week and started teaching tap & modern.
27 classes and started teaching aerial silk & aerial hoop.
29 classes a week and started running workshops every other month.
